Description Pair of adult-sized snowshoes, each comprised of a wooden frame made from a single stave that is steamed and bent to shape; Framework expands outward to maximum width at mid-section, then tapers toward distal end where it is folded back around the opposite side; Proximal ends of framework are pegged together and lashed with rawhide; Two cross braces complete framework, dividing shoe into 3 sections, each of which is filled in with woven open network of rawhide lacings; Lacings in midsection are wrapped around framework, while in other two sections they are lashed through framework.
