Description Rectangular basket with flat base, vertical sides, and rounded corners; Warp and weft material is cedar bark; Base is woven in simple plaiting technique and the sides are woven in alternating rows of simple plaiting and plain twining; Final 1.25 cm below rim are woven entirely in plain twining; Rim is reinforced on interior with wooden splint, over which the warp splints are folded and bound into the final row of twining; Plaited sections of basket utilize equal-sized warp and weft fibers, while the twined sections utilize much narrower wefts; Designs are woven of dyed cedar bark and correspond to plain-twined band below rim, in which each row of twining includes one red and one green weft fiber; Pair of looped handles, each made from 2-ply segment of cedar bark, is woven through upper sides on each end of basket.
