Description | Small round basket with flat base and deep, flaring sides, woven in coiled technique over a bundle foundation; Warp material is split cattail stems and primary weft material is peeled and split willow shoots; Designs are woven of black devil's claw pods and include small solid black round motif in center of base, and band of 4 standing male figures alternating with 4 baskets or other containers holding a plant; Final rim coil is decorated with a diagonal overstitch of black devil's claw. | |
