Description Each legging consists of a single, trapezoidal piece of hide, folded lengthwise and sewn with sinew; Edges are beaded with black beads; Lazy beaded design, at edge, consists of one lane of white lazy stitch with triangular motifs in red, green and blue; Lazy stitch pattern at bottom consists of white background with stepped diamonds in light blue edged in dark blue flanked at top and bottom by red "K" shapes and red lines at either side; Each diamond contains a cross in red and white; Collected by American artist Maynard Dixon (1875-1946) ca. 1880.
