Description Leather sheath constructed of two pieces of rawhide stitched together with sinew; Back piece extends over front to create flap; Flap has been slit creating three rawhide bands on flap, the outer two of which are lazy stitch beaded in blue, the center one in green; All have internal yellow geometric elements; Flap is edge beaded in blue, red, and yellow; Front of sheath is lazy stitch beaded in alternating bands of blue and pink, the pink bands containing internal indigo squares; Back is undecorated; Collected by American artist Maynard Dixon (1875-1946) prior to 1940.
