Description Woman's purse constructed on rawhide for the front piece and black woolen cloth for the back; Back panel is edged in red and green cotton cloth; Front panel is edged in red wool and green, yellow and purple cotton cloth; Front panel is beaded in yellow overlay stitch with three horizontal rows of blue stepped diamonds edged in indigo and pink steps; Three vertical white bands, one bead wide, separate the panel into three sections; Back is undecorated; Hide fringe at along seams tipped in tin cones; Collected by American artist Maynard Dixon (1875-1946) in 1909.
