Description Hard leather sole attached with sinew to upper constructed of single piece of tanned hide dyed orange; Split back cuff; Square-cut tongue is separate and attached with sinew; Wide hide lace threaded at ankle; Vamp is decorated with a U-shaped quilled pattern in white red and yellow; Pattern is bordered with lazy stitch beading in yellow and green; Collected by American artist Maynard Dixon (1875-1946) prior to 1940.
