Description Hard sole attached to single piece upper of tanned hide with sinew; Forked tongue is separate; Red wool, rabbit fur and printed cloth around ankle and cuff; Lazy and overlay stitch beaded pattern in blue, white red, turquoise and pink include blue band with white parallelograms down center of vamp to toe, alternating undecorated hide and red and white stripes across vamp and instep, pink and blue triangles at border and pink, blue and white linear designs on sides and rear; Wide hide fringe added at heel; Collected by American artist Maynard Dixon (1875-1946) prior to 1940.
