Single moccasin with hard leather sole attached with sinew to single piece tanned hide upper which has been dyed yellow; Cloth added at cuff to form wraparound boot; Multicolored lazy stitch beaded pattern on vamp consists of rectangles and parallelograms; Collected by American artist Maynard Dixon (1875-1946) prior to 1940. |
