Description | A: Three dimensional ivory carving of a single-man kayak, fitted with five crossed straps of seal skin for holding various hunting tools (1 single strap and two double straps in front of cockpit and one double strap and one single strap behind the cockpit; Small harpoon rest is positioned along right side of kayak just in front of cockpit; Miniature ivory harpoon shaft and knife (?) are lashed to deck; Kayak is displayed on a three-piece ivory stand consisting of two flat upright pieces and an elongated crosspiece. | |
