Description | 3-dimensional carved figurine in standing position, depicting Tawa Katsina (Sun Katsina), who appears during regular katsina dances; Figure's torso upper arms and left leg are reddish orange and his forearms and right leg are blue; He wears brown moccasins, white kilt and dance sash with fox tail in back (all carved) black yarn wrist band, blue felt arm bands, and bracelet made from leather band with painted turquoise; Brown case mask has sun face on front, surrounded by carved and painted eagle feathers; Several small yellow feathers are glued to back of mask and small white feather on top of mask; Neck ruff is made of green wool yarn. | |
