Description Small round basket with flat base and flaring sides; Base of basket is woven in alternating rows of plain twining and simple plaiting, with single row of 3-strand twining along juncture of base and sides; Sides are woven in plain twining technique, ending with another single row of 3-strand twining along the rim; Designs are woven of dyed bear grass leaves in a false embroidery technique and consist of a band of dark brown triangles arranged to form a negative zigzag band around the lower sides, and a similar band around the upper sides; Encircling the middle of the basket is a band of blue parallelograms that are stacked in a zigzag fashion; Each of the rows of 3-strand twining include 1 dyed red bear grass fiber; 3-strand braided bail handle (2 undyed and 1 dyed red bear grass fibers) is attached at interior of rim.
