Description Man's “flying skirt” (companion piece to CAS 1990-0004-0001A) consisting of 18 elaborately embroidered rectangular panels that hang pendant from an undyed cotton waistband strip; Ends of panels are decorated with white chicken feathers (Feathers not original; Probably added in the 1970s); Skirts of this type are now worn by both men and women, but were traditionally worn by male reed flute players.
