Description | Pair of child-sized mukluks with stiff one-piece seal skin soles that are creased around the toes and heals; Uppers are made of several pieces of haired seal skin, sewn together with sinew; Additional length of dark blue wool yarn is sewn along creased portions of sole and length of red and dark blue wool yarn along side seams on uppers for decorative purposes; Uppers are trimmed around top with strip of brown rabbit fur and strip of commercial red wool cloth, the latter enclosing a braided drawstring of red, white, dark and light blue yarns; Pair of shaved dark brown seal skin ankle straps are attached to upper edge of soles along the sides of each boot; Interior of red wool cuff is lined with commercial cotton cloth with a blue and white print pattern. | |
