Description | Round basketry tray with flat base and very low, flaring sides; Woven in coiled technique over bundle foundation; Warp material is rye grass stems and weft material is natural and dyed rye grass leaves; Design consists of concentric bands in natural, black, and red colors in center of basket; Remaining design field is divided in pie-shaped sectors, with the colors alternating between red and black in adjacent sectors, resulting in two wide concentric bands in red and black, separated by natural colored concentric bands. | |
