| Description | Round jar with narrow diameter base and rounded sides that flare out at the bottom as they rise to a high rounded shoulder and then curve inward to a wide round mouth; Interior and exterior surfaces are scraped very smooth and coated with piñon pine pitch; Jar is undecorated; Artist’s initials “AC” are incised on base. Alice Williams Cling is the daughter of Rose Williams and the former sister-in-law of Lorraine Williams, both of whose works are represented in the CAS pottery collection. | |
