Round bread and butter or salad plate with flat base and shallow, flaring sides; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and burnished; Four pairs of elongated triangles (with a leaf shape between adjacent pairs) form a border around the interior rim; Center of plate is undecorated; Plate was reduction fired to yield black on black design; Signature "Marie + Julian" is incised in cursive lettering on underside. |
