Animated papier mâché figurine depicting head of Kinta, a foot soldier who served under Kato Kiyomasa, the building of Kumamoto castle; Kinta was a heavy drinker (hence the red face) who loved to play practical jokes; He wears a military black-lacquered hat; Head is mounted on wooden pole and fitted with string, which when pulled, causes Kinta to roll his eyes and stick out his tongue; Japanese characters are printed on front of wooden support. |
