Miniature kite made from rectangular piece of yellow rice paper glued to a framework of 4 very thin bamboo splints arranged in an “X” pattern with a 3rd vertical splint bracing the center of the kite and a 4th one extending across the top edge; White paper streamer is attached to each bottom corner; Actual kit is imprinted with red star-like design whose spokes extend out to circle of 5 large red dots, and Japanese script in lower left corner; Short lengths of tan thread also secure yellow paper to central bamboo brace, just below center of kite and also just below upper bamboo brace. |
