| Description | Ornament consisting of a spoked wheel woven of grass, from which are suspended 3 dancing figures, whose grass bodies are wraped in red paper and gold foil; A piece of red fabric also hangs down from the wheel, forming a kind of stage curtain; A paper banner with Japanese writing is also suspended from the wheel; This ornament depicts the Sumiyoshi Dance, performed semi-annually at the Sumiyoshi Shrine rice-planting festival. | |
