Description | Small round shallow tray with rounded base and very widely flaring sides, woven over a bundle foundation; Warp material is split cattail stems and primary weft material is peeled and split willow shoots; Designs are woven of black devil's claw pods and includes a solid black round area in center with 3 spokes radiating outward, with their ends attached to large "S" motifs; Opposite end of each "S" motif connects to a large black triangle that is pendant from the rim and which encloses a small negative cross; Final rim coil is decorated with a diagonal overstitch of black devil's claw. | |
