Description |
Handheld fan woven of medium-width strands of pandanus fiber in plain plaiting (over one, under one) technique; Fan is diamond-shaped with rounded upper edge that is decorated with band of dyed (red, yellow, and green) fringe that is held in place with bands of plaited pandanus fibers machine sewn to front and back; Front of fan is decorated with 2 parallel rows of dyed (red) pandanus fibers that are woven in an overlay technique; Extended wooden handle is wrapped in pandanus fibers. |
