Rectangular purse with triangular bottom edge, woven in medium-width pandanus strips in simple plaiting (over one, under one) technique; Reverse side of purse is folded over front to form triangular flap; Lower border on flap and lower borders on front and back are decorated with bands of dyed (red) pandanus fibers woven in overlay technique; Front and back are also decorated with 3 red V-shaped motifs; Braided pandanus fiber carrying strap is sewn into each upper corner of purse with thread. |
