Description 3-dimensional carved figure in standing position, representing Eototo (Katsina Chief) who controls the seasons, knows all Hopi ceremonies, and is considered the father of all katsinam; He wears a dance kilt, dance sash, and sash belt, (all of canvas fabric and painted with appropriate designs), carved fox skin tail, white shirt (commercial cloth cut and sewn to figure's form), white knitted leggings (commercial cloth glued to legs), carved and painted brown moccasins with leather uppers, wool yarn garters and bandolier, and white leather cape; White painted case mask has rabbit fur neck ruff and small bundle of trimmed feathers on top; Figure carries 5 carved scapula (used as musical instruments) in right hand, and carved ear of corn, gourd bottle, and prayer plaque in left hand; Figure is mounted on unpainted rectangular wood base; “Eototo” is printed in ink on base, along with “Chief Kachina” (printed in pencil) and artist’s name, “Rodney Banashley” (written in ink).
