Description Storm pattern rug woven entirely in plain tapestry weave of hand spun wool warp and hand spun natural (white), carded (gray), and aniline-dyed (red and black over-dyed on natural black-brown) wefts; Design includes central red "X" within black rectangle superimposed on white rectangle; White zigzag lines extend out to concentric rectangles (red, black, and white) near each corner; Various geometric motifs in red, white, and black, including several waterbugs fill remaining spaces, all on gray background; Double reciprocating border with black crosses on white background and white crosses on black background frames rug on all four sides.
