Description Tall cylindrical basketry-covered glass jar with separate basketry lid; Jar is made of clear glass and has flat bottom, slightly flaring sides rising to a high shoulder that tapers inward slightly before rising vertically to form a short neck with a wide mouth; Base of basket is woven in plain twining technique, using cedar bark as the warp fiber and rye grass stems as the weft fiber; Sides of basket and entire lid are woven in wrapped twining technique, using cedar bark as the warp fiber and bear grass leaves as the weft fiber; Designs include dark blue or purple circular area in center of base and series of bands encircling sides of basket in colors of blue-green-yellow, purple-red, and orange-green; Designs on lid include concentric bands in colors of red, green, orange, and blue; Paper labels originally on side and around neck of jar can still be seen from interior of jar.
