Description Small cylindrical basketry covered glass bottle with separate basketry lid; Jar is of clear glass with flat base and vertical sides rising to a high shoulder and then tapering to form a short cylindrical neck; Base of basket is woven in plain twining technique, using finely split cedar bark as the warp fiber and rye grass stems as the weft fiber; Sides of basket and entire lid are woven in wrapped twining technique, using finely split cedar bark as the warp fiber and bear grass leaves as the weft fiber; Designs on sides of basket are woven of aniline-dyed bear grass leaves and include a central band of whaling canoes with a band of small birds above and below, all framed between upper and lower plain framing lines, all in colors of green, orange, purple, and red; Designs on lid consist of concentric bands in colors of purple, green, and orange.
