| Description | Small round bowl with flat base and rounded sides that taper inward toward the rim; Interior and exterior surfaces are scraped very smooth and coated with a brick-red slip; except for uppermost 2.5 cm on exterior (just below rim) which is coated with a tan slip; Exterior sides and base are highly polished and painted with black designs, including band of evenly spaced solid triangles that are pendant from bottom of tan-slipped area, a meandering continuous scroll line just below rim, and a band of small evenly spaced triangles that are pendant from a solid black line along the bowl's lip; Signature "Mary Juan" is handwritten in black on base. | |
