Description Snake figure carved from long, straight piece of wood with slightly convex surfaces on top and bottom and several undulations along each side; One end is constricted to form the snake's large head and the opposite end tapers to form the tail; Upper surface of the snake's body is painted rust brown and the remainder of its body is painted black; Rust brown area on snake's back is shallowly carved to reveal the underlying original light color of the wood, leaving images of a snake and a lizard in the areas that are not carved; Eyes and mouth are also shallowly carved on snake's head.
