Description |
Small finger drum fashioned from hollowed section of a branch or root into a cylindrical shape, with a handle on the side carved in the form of two praying mantises, both decorated with shallowly carved lines; Low relief carved decorative band encircles drum on lower half, with all carved designs on both insect figures and decorative band originally accentuated with white lime; Upper end of drum is covered with stretched piece of lizard skin. |
