Description |
Openwork woven mask with a pronounced median ridge running the length of the face, flanked on each side by eyes which seemingly make up the entire face, with each one consisting of a central circle surrounded by increasingly larger ovals; The median ridge terminates at the base in what could represent a nose; Face is surmounted by elaborate openwork headdress consisting of series of concentric semi-circles joined together with zigzag bands; Mask is completely unpainted; Only color variation is in the use of a darker cane strip on the outermost edge of the median ridge. |
