Description A: Handmade comb made from piece of very fine-grained wood that has been highly polished; Overall shape is that of a slightly irregular semi-circle; Back edge of comb is thicker, while the lower straight edge is tapered; Series of evenly spaced parallel cuts have been made along entire length of comb to form the individual teeth, who lower ends are all tapered and rounded; B: Carrying case for comb, made from commercially woven cotton cloth with green-red-black basket weave pattern on white background, possibly over cardboard form; Edges of cloth have been folded over and the interior of the case is lined with some type of leaf or other plant fiber; Sides of case fold in, bottom folds up, and top folds down to form flap which is secured to bottom flap with small white plastic tab (intended to look like ivory) that is secured with purple cord.
