Description Very finely woven Two Grey Hills Navajo-style rug, woven in tapestry weave, with central design of single series of four stacked and interconnected concentric and terraced diamonds in colors of white, medium gray, and light and dark brown, all on a light gray background; Central design is flanked on either side by other geometric units in same colors and addition of dark gray; Light gray “spirit line” is located in upper right corner; Rug is framed along all four edges by very complex double border; Inner border consists of inner terraced white zigzag line and outer band of small paired terraced triangles in medium brown, all on light gray background; Outer straight-edged border is plain black; Twining and selvage cords are woven of contrasting white yarns.
