Two-piece Navajo-style woman’s dress, consisting of two identical rectangular panels, each woven in tapestry weave, each dress half divided into three panels, the central being plain dark brown/black with an upper and lower red band with a single dark brown/black band and two narrow blue bands running along the entire width; Upper and lower panels of each dress half are bright red with a band of contiguous open terraced diamonds extending across the center width and framed along top and bottom by band of small contiguous dark brown/black triangles; The two dress halves are whip-stitched together partially along the sides and across the top with bright red yarn to form side and shoulder seams, allowing for arm and neck holes. |
