Description | Narrow band bracelet woven entirely of split pandanus leaves; Foundation consists of a single wide pandanus leaf whose ends overlap to form a loop; To weave the bracelet, two split pandanus leaves (each half the width of the foundation leaf inside the bracelet) are laid parallel to each other on outside of bracelet, forming the warp fibers; The two warp fibers and the foundation leaf are then coil wrapped by an even narrower pandanus leaf; On outside of bracelet, the weft fiber passes over one of the warp fibers and under the second one, then on the next round it goes under the first one and over the second one. | |
