Description Large non-regional rug that is thickly woven in tapestry weave; Geometric pattern includes central white column whose lateral zigzag edges are bordered in dark brown; Set on the white column are 5 red hourglass or squash blossom shapes (each outlined in black), 1 small dark brown diamond, and 1 small red diamond (outlined in gray; The central white column expands into a solid white band along each end of the rug; Flanking each side of the white column is a gray area containing 2 whole red hourglass or squash blossom shapes and 4 half hourglass shapes, all of which are outlined in black; End cords are white, while the selvage cords are primarily white, but towards one end they are red and white plied together; Supplementary dark brown corner tassels are woven into rug at one end and supplementary plied white and red corner tassels are woven into opposite end.
