Description | Pair of adult’s moccasins made with a hard sole with the scraped hair side on the outside; Uppers are made from single piece of tanned deerskin which has been dyed a rust brown color inside and outside; Beginning at the midpoint of the outside side, the lower edge of the upper is sewn with sinew to the turned-up edged of the sole, continuing around the heel, along the inner side and around the toe, and finally back to the starting point, where the two ends of the buckskin overlap, thus making a self-forming vamp; At the point of overlap, the lower edge of both pieces are laced once to the sole with a single buckskin lacing. | |
