| Description | Miniature fan which telescopes into itself and when closed, appears to be a cylindrical firecracker on a wooden stick; By pushing on the stick, the fan opens to reveal a second paper cylinder and finally a very small figurine of the Goddess of Mercy in front of a gold foil paper disk that gradually unfurls; Exterior of fan is decorated with three painted images of feathers, and an orange and blue band around the top and bottom; Artist’s signature is printed in black ink on verso. | |
