Description | Round plaque woven entirely in wicker technique, beginning with four dunebroom warp rods laid across four other dunebroom warp rods which are gradually expanded in spoke-like fashion; Body of basket is woven of natural and dyed rabbitbrush stems, showing a single large image of a butterfly with black wings and a body of indeterminate color; At rim, all warp rods except one in each warp bundle are cut off; Remaining warp rods are bent to the left and bound with adjacent rods and then wrapped with undyed yucca leaf. | |
