Description | Round plaque woven entirely in wicker technique, beginning with three dunebroom warp rods laid across three other dunebroom warp rods and gradually expanding in spoke-like fashion; Body of basket is woven of natural and undyed rabbitbrush stems, forming a generalized pattern of concentric circles, possibly the Köyapruru (white showing through) pattern; At the rim, all but one warp rod in each warp bundle is cut off; Remaining warp rod in each bundle is bent to the left and bound with adjacent rods and then wrapped in dyed black yucca leaves. | |
