Description | Handheld fan woven woven in a simple tapestry weave, using reed like fibers for both the warp and weft; Weaving appears to start with bundle of fibers which are partially braided together, with pairs of fibers extending out from the braided handle to serve as both warp and weft; As a pair of fibers reaches one edge, they are turned at a 90-degree angle and become warps and/or wefts; Overall shape of fan is that of a diamond, with a truncated top; This fan is nearly identical to CAS 2011-0004-0025. | |
