Description | Double saddle blanket woven entirely in plain tapestry technique; Design field is divided in half across the center by a wide band that was originally pink and beige; One end of the design field features beige Maltese crosses with pink centers and outlined in green with hooked appendages, all on a white background; Opposite end of design field shows rows of small squares stacked diagonally across the corners in colors of light pink, light gray, dark gray, beige, dark brown, and dark pink, all on white background; Selvage cords and end cords are white; Numerous large lazy lines are present down the center of the blanket; Corners were originally augmented with pink wool tassels. | |
