Description Small round basketry jar with flat base, globose body, and short vertical neck; Basket is woven in coiled technique, using peeled and split willow or sumac shoots probably over bundle of whole or split willow or sumac shoots; Pair of braided horsehair loop handles are woven into basket on one side of the shoulder; Interior and exterior are covered with a heavy coating of piñon pine pitch.
