Description Large rug woven entirely in plain weft-faced tapestry weave; Non-regional design consists of four black and white Valero stars in center on white background, surrounded by elaborate network of multiple plain golden lines and serrated black ones which form a larger diamond around the stars and then flare out toward each corner, all on a white background; Plain gray and black bands frame each end of the rug, while a decorative border of reciprocating gray and black feather motifs frames each side of the rug; Rug lacks selvage cords; End cords are black. Numerous lazy lines are evident throughout the rug; “Spirit path” is represented by single yarn extending from edge of one of the golden design elements to the edge of the rug.
