Description Deep round basket with flat base and flaring sides, woven in coiling technique over 3-rod foundation; Warp material is whole willow shoots and primary weft material is peeled and split willow shoots; Designs are woven of black devil's claw and aniline dyed (maroon and green) raffia grass, and include round black circular area in center, encircled by rectilinear meandering band, 3 closely spaced terraced zig bands, band of maroon crosses outlined in black (band also includes 4 human and 2 dog figures), and finally band of black dogs and green triangles and terraced diagonals; Final rim coil is woven entirely in black devil's claw.
