Description |
Handheld fan woven from a single coconut frond; Fan is diamond-shaped and woven predominately in 2/2 pattern, with occasional variation in the weaving sequence as required to maintain the design and overall shape; Warps and wefts are folded back on themselves at edges to make a self-forming selvage; Warp and weft fibers are still attached to spine of front, which serves as the handle. |
