Handheld fan woven from a single coconut frond; Fan is triangular in shape and woven in an all-over 2/2 herringbone pattern; Warps and wefts are folded back on themselves at edges to form a self-forming selvage; Warp and weft fibers are gathered down into bundle that extends down center of fan, forming a handle that is partially wrapped with native 2-strand cordage. |
