Description | Walking stick carved and assembled from two pieces; The shaft of the walking stick is fashioned from a single tree branch whose bark has been stripped and numerous smaller lateral branches removed, leaving only a small knob from the base of each lateral branch for decorative purposes; Handle has been fashioned from an L-shaped section of another branch, also stripped of its bark; Shaft and handle are probably pegged and/or glued together, and after being assembled, the handle was heavily varnished and the entire shaft was painted black, with the black paint overlapping the juncture with the handle. | |
