Large round, flat basketry tray with three outer rings surrounding a large interior circle; Outer rings are separated by chevron designs in two cases and a ring of cowrie shells in the third; Inner ring has six profile floral-like (or crown-like) designs, the upper parts of which are dyed pink, purple and blue, and which are separated from each other by the points of a star pattern; Inside this design is a large mottled brown cowrie shell surrounded by an open ring of white cowrie shells. |
