Model of totem pole carved in three dimensions from a single piece of wood; Bear figure is seated at bottom of pole with a small human figure standing in front of it (human’s hands are on bear’s hind knees and bear’s front paws are grasping sides of human’s head); Second bear figure is seated atop the first, with its front paws held in front; Raven stands atop second bear figure and is shown wearing a decorative robe; Carved figures are mounted on low, square wooden base by means of three small nails; Figures and base are completely unpainted. |
